A plea from Frem: What is the cost of diesel oil to operate the water pumps in Kesrouan?!

Deputy Neemat Frem denounced the water crisis in Kesrouan, urging the relevant authorities to disclose the operational cost of diesel oil required to restore the water flow, as this shortage is caused by the lack of fuel needed to operate the generators and pumps.

Frem posted on the X (formerly Twitter) platform: “It is unacceptable for the Kesrouan-Al-Ftouh region to endure weeks of water scarcity. What is the underlying issue?

They claimed that the Mount Lebanon Water Authority lacks diesel oil to run the generators and pumps. What is more cost-effective? Is it for each household to pay $25 per week for water tanks, or to secure diesel for the pumps?

I address my friend, the Director of the Water Authority, Engineer Jean Gebran, and request him to specify the operational cost of diesel oil for restoring the water flow.

This is an appeal I am making to every individual in Kesrouan: Upon learning the daily diesel oil cost required to address Kesrouan’s water needs, anyone who wishes can contribute to cover this amount. What is the cost, dear Director? Unless there is another obstacle, which we also want to know!”
