Frem after meeting Le Drian: An urgent need to elect a president, with an additional challenge

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, highlighted after his meeting with the French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian the urgent need to elect a president for the republic, alongside an additional challenge: strengthening the ceasefire agreement.

He posted on X: “The meeting with Mr. Le Drian was excellent. There is an extremely urgent need to elect a president for the republic, just as there is a need to strengthen the ceasefire agreement.”

Frem added: “A new priority has been added to the long list the incoming president will have to address: the proper implementation of the agreement, in line with the requirements of the international community as well as Lebanese stakeholders. A new, additional challenge!”
