Frem After the Tripoli Tragedy… An Outcry in the Face of Total Collapse

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, posted on his X account: “With deep pain, and as the toll of the tragic building collapse in Tripoli becomes clear, we pray for the victims of this recurring, painful disaster. We stand in solidarity with their heartbroken families, offering our sincere condolences, and wish the injured a swift recovery.

We raise our voice to say that what happened is not an isolated incident, but one of the stark signs of the total collapse devouring Lebanon’s stones and lives alike. What is required is immediate action through a comprehensive and serious national rescue effort – engineering and humanitarian – to reinforce unsafe buildings before they turn into graves and to stop this deadly, hellish cycle.”
