Frem ahead of the confidence session: A New Chapter

In a televised interview ahead of the confidence session, the Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, emphasized that Lebanon is entering a “new era.”

“This path was set by His Excellency the President and the Prime Minister, and the government is following in their footsteps,” he said. “The ministers are opening a new chapter with a different approach, while the ministerial statement this time includes 24 detailed points – an unprecedented move that reflects a more precise and comprehensive vision.”

He added: “The ministerial statement is not merely a document; it serves as a framework for Lebanon’s defense policy and national security, as well as a foundation for a clear economic plan. This marks a promising beginning for a new course.”

He concluded: “Regarding Hezbollah and Resolution 1701, the reality is clear. This matter has been addressed and explicitly mentioned in both the oath of office and the ministerial statement. Our responsibility today is to clarify this with facts, not just words. Moreover, no achievement can be realized without trust. We need to inject 10 to 15 billion dollars into the Lebanese state over the next six months to a year; otherwise, everything will remain mere promises. This confidence can only be gained through clear stances on the state, the army, weapons, and transparency. Real reforms cannot be achieved with slogans but through actions and commitment.”
