Frem: Are you waiting for famine to strike before acting?!

The chairman of “Project Watan’s” Executive Board, resigned MP Neemat Frem, lambasted in a tweet the officials’ indolence regarding the situation in Lebanon, asking if they were waiting for the famine before taking any measure.

He tweeted: “Does this system have any consideration to the national, economic, and livelihood security? Are you waiting for the famine to strike before acting? Isn’t the government supposed to convene permanently and urgently to find solutions and alternatives to the catastrophic crisis? When will the Supreme Defense Council take action? Isn’t the shortage of food, medicines and diesel, etc…among their priorities? Is it acceptable that this Council has not convened since last December? People should come first.”
