Frem: BOT doesn’t mean selling state assets - it is the fastest and most effective way to attract capital and investments

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, posted on X: “Upgrading infrastructure in an effective and sustainable way does not happen through borrowing or ‘begging,’ but by attracting capital.

The BOT model does not involve selling state assets; rather, it is the fastest and most effective solution for modernizing airports, ports, and services – from Beirut and Kleiaat airports to the ports of Beirut and Jounieh, as well as waste treatment and other vital projects.

In light of the latest developments in Syria, the race to attract capital and investments has become a top priority. Enough with the misleading rhetoric and slogans that only delay the recovery of Lebanon’s crippled national sectors!

Kudos to Minister of Public Works and Transport, His Excellency Fayez Rasamny [@mopwleb]. The momentum he has created to win the ‘race to attract capital’ to the Lebanese economy must be supported.”
