Frem Calls for Including Egypt in the Negotiation Mechanism

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, stated that negotiations have become a necessary path to prevent war, calling for Egypt’s inclusion in the negotiation mechanism given its pivotal role in this regard.

He wrote on his X account: “It is a delicate and highly strategic moment par excellence. Lebanon has chosen to negotiate on the edge of fire – and not with a friend or an ally.

Negotiations have now become an unavoidable passage to prevent war. Egypt has played a central role in laying the groundwork and outlining the negotiation’s axes. It also possesses extensive experience in negotiating with Israel, which has recently borne fruit in Gaza.

Therefore, I propose, in the national interest, that Egypt be included among the parties to the mechanism – as an Arab guarantor and an additional mediator.”
