Frem from Baabda: The Presidency of the Republic has come back to life, and the formation of a Cabinet inspired by the oath of office that united the Lebanese people should be expedited

Following his meeting with President Joseph Aoun as part of the binding parliamentary consultations to designate a Prime Minister, the Chairman of Project Watan, MP Neemat Frem, stated: “Today, the Presidency of the Republic has come back to life after a long period of stagnation. During the meeting, it was emphasized with His Excellency the President that it is essential to expedite the formation of a Cabinet inspired by the spirit of the oath of office that united the Lebanese people. We have nominated Judge Nawaf Salam.”

Frem continued: “There is no room for thinking in terms of profit and loss among the parties, as Lebanon is the ultimate winner. The coming phase requires working as one team to ensure the success of the project for a new Lebanon. Time is short, the responsibility is immense, and we must accelerate our efforts to turn the current truce into a sustainable ceasefire and launch the reconstruction process. Sovereignty and rebuilding are two intertwined paths that cannot be separated.”

He concluded: “There is a need for a clear and honest decision to open a new page and work together, far from old disputes, to ensure the stability of the country. The future demands inclusive representation in the Cabinet to avoid any constitutional crises, as the absence of such representation will jeopardize the reconstruction process and the sustainability of stability.”
