Frem: I Fear Lebanese Blood Will Be Shed Again

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, strongly condemned the attack on a UNIFIL convoy in Beirut, expressing fears of renewed bloodshed in Lebanon.

He posted on his account on X: “The attacks on UNIFIL are strongly condemned.

To those responsible, we ask: What is the purpose of this move? UNIFIL peacekeepers symbolize the ceasefire agreement.

Do you want, through these attacks, to drag Lebanon back into the furnace of war? Why? I fear that, once again, Lebanese blood will be shed, offered as a sacrifice in conflicts that extend beyond our borders – conflicts in which we were never partners, but rather like the lamb on Easter Day.”
