Frem: Nawaf Salam Represents an Opportunity to Fulfill the President’s Oath of Office

On the eve of the parliamentary consultations to designate a Prime Minister, MP Neemat Frem expressed his support for Judge Nawaf Salam.

He stated: “Last week marked a significant milestone in Lebanon’s history. The oath of office of His Excellency President [Joseph] Aoun outlined a roadmap for the future, and the spark of hope ignited in people’s hearts must not be extinguished on Monday. Just as the Lebanese, with international and Arab support, were able to reach a consensus on President Aoun, the same should happen in naming the Prime Minister. The people are looking forward to the full and vigorous implementation of the oath of office.”

He added: “Last Thursday witnessed the end of the old alignments between opposition and majority. Today, we stand before a new realignment that will unfold in the coming days in line with the principles set out in the oath. The people who placed their trust in us expect us to fulfill their aspirations and keep the flame of hope alive. In this context, Nawaf Salam represents a new opportunity to reshuffle the cards and transition to a new era – a path toward implementing the oath of office with determination and a positive spirit, far from political disputes and revanchism.”
