Frem: Perhaps the Dream Cannot Be Assassinated Twice

Marking the anniversary of President Bachir Gemayel’s assassination, the Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, wrote on X:

“Forty-three years ago, Bachir’s assassination shattered hopes of building a state of institutions. Yet the dream was never buried – it remained deeply rooted in the Lebanese conscience, alive in our collective memory, an indelible cause.

Today, that dream has returned to the spotlight as Lebanon faces a rare historic opportunity and as the Lebanese people show an overwhelming desire to reclaim the project of the state despite all the challenges and storms.

It is the same steadfast determination, the same resolve, to ensure the dream is not assassinated twice.”
