Frem: Project Watan Will Boycott… and These Are the Reasons

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, announced in a post on X the boycott of tomorrow’s parliamentary session and explained the reasons for this decision, stressing his commitment to the right of Lebanese expatriates to vote for all 128 deputies.

He wrote: “We hold firmly to the right of Lebanese expatriates to vote for all 128 parliamentary seats, in line with the Constitution and the principle of equality among citizens.”

He added: “Excluding the urgent draft law – which I submitted along with nine fellow MPs – aimed at amending the expatriate voting mechanism to include all districts and seats, from the parliamentary session’s agenda, undermines the very essence of adherence to the law and the Constitution. Therefore, it is only natural that the Project Watan bloc announces its boycott of tomorrow’s session.”
