Frem Strongly Condemns Israel’s Targeting of Journalists

MP Neemat Frem expressed his strong condemnation of Israel’s targeting of media representatives in a post on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.

He wrote: “With profound pain and dismay, we are closely following the developments in our beloved South this evening.  We feel pain, and we denounce and strongly condemn Israel’s targeting of journalists, which tragically resulted in the martyrdom of Issam Abdallah (Reuters Agency) and the injury of his colleagues, Carmen Joukhadar and Elie Brakhia (Al Jazeera), Christina Assi (AFP), Maher Abdel Latif and Thaer Kazem (Reuters), and Dylan Collins (Radio France).

May peace and mercy be upon Issam Abdallah’s soul. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and the Reuters Agency for their painful loss, and our prayers are with the wounded for a swift recovery. As for the dismay, it arises from the critical situation fraught with the risk of losing control. May God protect Lebanon and its people.”
