Frem: To elect a president to avoid total collapse and prevent jeopardizing civil peace

January 22, 2023

The chairman of “Project Watan’s” Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, urged his fellow deputies to elect a new president for the republic, for delay is jeopardizing Lebanon’s civil peace.

He tweeted: “I salute my colleagues that are [staging a sit-in] inside the Parliament. I came to them for coordination and consultation on the following steps to complete the president election process before the total collapse and the hazard of chaos.”

He added: "Every moment of delay is jeopardizing civil peace in Lebanon and wasting the rights of our children. We are now at a crossroads; either we regulate and rescue the political action, or we head to a place which we will not know how to exit."
