Frem warns that Lebanon is at risk of losing investments to Syria

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, warned about Lebanon’s economic prospects, cautioning that the country risks losing investments to Syria.

He posted on X: “The race with Syria for investments and international support has begun, and Lebanon is at risk of losing the opportunity! What is urgently needed is to facilitate the Prime Minister-designate’s mission to form an effective government that meets the necessary conditions and criteria to attract Arab and international capital and implement the reforms required by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.”

He concluded: “Time is short, and swift action is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, we will return to square one – this time with destruction, escalating tensions in South Lebanon, and worsening hardships for citizens.”
